The Duke of Cambridge and Prime Minister will attend a service at Manchester Cathedral on 22 May 2018

Prince William and Prime Minister Theresa May are to attend a remembrance service at Manchester Cathedral on 22 May to mark the one year anniversary of the Manchester Arena attack.

The Duke of Cambridge will join the families of those who lost their lives, the injured, first responders, civic leaders and national figures attending the service, which will take place from 2-3pm and incorporate a national one-minute silence at 2.30pm.

While space limitations mean the service has to be invitation only, there will be opportunities for anyone to watch the service on a big screen in nearby Cathedral Gardens. The service will also be screened at York Minster, Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral and Glasgow Cathedral.
