Take a VR tour of the game-changing new health club being built under The Royal Exchange Arcade

A game-changing new health club is set to open in Manchester city centre early this summer, with the aim of becoming known as the 'the gym of gyms'.

GSquared will open in an 12,000 sq ft space below Cross Street, where the underground Royal Exchange Shopping Centre used to be.

Features will include an 80-metre running track, a climbing wall, an assault course, a holistic studio, relaxation pods, a sled track, infrared saunas, and spaces dedicated to Watson Strength resistance equipment and Freemotion Cable equipment.

The leading-edge facilities will be matched by an in-depth, multifaceted approach to improving fitness and overall quality of life. Members will benefit from holistic services including spinal assessment, metabolic typing, and functional nutrition diagnosis, as well as simple life hacks such as a laundry service and drivers to take them to and from the gym.

Memberships will be extremely limited in number compared to standard gyms: the cap will make it one of the most exclusive health clubs in Manchester.

GSquared is still under construction but if you're curious to see the future of fitness in the city, you can take their virtual reality tour.

The ten-minute tours take place at GSquared itself on Cross Street and use a VR headset to bring this 'gym of gyms' to life.
