Small plates at small prices – 25% off cicchetti snacks and sides menu
SMALL, but perfectly formed – that’s the dishes on Amoré Cucina & Bar’s cicchetti menu. It’s designed for you to “enjoy as much or as little as you like”, so just pop in for a snack with a quick drink, or order more and leave feeling full.
It was a lovely warm day when we ventured up to the north Manchester Italian, and we sat in the window to get the best of the sunshine. We started with the pretty-in-pink roast beetroot and goats cheese salad, dressed with toasted hazelnuts, baby chard and crunchy apple, and delicious washed down with a chilled Sauvignon Blanc. Just as colourful was the beef carpaccio – thinly sliced bright red fillet, and simply served with rocket and shaved Parmesan.
We like to stick to tradition, so next up we sampled a couple of seafood dishes: a classic clam linguine with white wine, red chilli and garlic, and a bruschetta topped with juicy king prawns and dripping with garlic and chilli butter.
Our equivalent of mains came in the form of soughdough pizzetta – the Toscana Bianca topped with mozzarella, chilli and garlic, broccoli and aniseed-tinged Tuscan sausage – and a chargrilled steak sandwich on homemade focaccia.
Perfect for lunch or dinner, the cicchetti menu at Amoré Cucina & Bar is well worth the trip to Whitefield. Even better, right now it has 25% off Monday to Thursday 12-3pm and 5-6.30pm (except August Bank Holiday). What’s not to love?
