We scoured the high-street to find the best (and most comfortable) kitten heel winter boots
I used to detest these shoes.
I thought kitten heels entirely redundant (shouldn't stilettos growl not purr?) and condemned them to the fiery furnace of faux pas alongside crocs, velour tracksuits and Von Dutch trucker caps.
And yet, here I am, actively considering wearing a teeny tiny heel that hovers a mere centimetre above the ground.
Of course, fashion is always reinventing itself (we hear velour is also having a moment) and the kitten heel has been itching for a modern upgrade.
Throughout the year, the high street has taken note from designers such as Dior, Prada, Philip Lim and Celine in embracing the kitten heel shoe in slingback, sock boot and mule shapes.
