IF a band makes remix of I Wanna Be Like You from the Disney film The Jungle Book, they’re either likely to get a gig on CBeebies or suddenly be terribly trendy.

Festival favourites The Correspondents are a London-based swing/hip-hop duo, and they are at the Kazimier this weekend for a splendid, attraction-filled night sure to bust through your recession blues.

They have played on stages at Glastonbury Festival, Secret Garden Party, Bestival, Kendal Calling, Shambhala UK, Lovebox Weekender, Camden Calling, Big Chill and Sunrise Celebration and are currently on a national tour.

Resuscitating sampled relics with squelchy synths over dusty drum loops, they’ve depicted the trials and errors of love, lust  and Loss over foot-tapping, get your brogues on, dance floor electro swing.

The evening promises a plethora of musical treats yet to be released. But please remain calm, as they’ll be reaching the masses with time to dust off your brogues, don your bowler hat and join The Correspondents on the dance floor.

The night is young, darling and so are you.
