Sometimes it’s good to see things from a different angle

From the Royal red colonnades of the Royal Albert Dock to the murky, sweaty depths of the Cavern club, some parts of Liverpool are more well-trodden than others, and rightly so. It’s a great city to explore on foot and there’s tonnes of memorable, historical and utterly iconic sights to see.

However, if you want to see the city in a new light, avoid the tourist traps or you just don’t fancy a taste of Beatlemania on the Magical Mystery Tour there are other ways to enjoy the best of Liverpool.

Here are five completely unique ways to do it.

These tunnels have now been carefully excavated and the Heritage Centre is open to the public with a team of dedicated volunteers who will show you around for a small, charitable donation.
