Over a hundred bars, restaurants and cafés are planning to celebrate

From humble beginnings when it started out as a bit of fun in 2008, Global Scouse Day has since become more than a celebration of Liverpool’s signature dish, it’s an opportunity to celebrate the city itself.

Every 28th February, chefs from the city’s bars, restaurants and cafes get out their nan’s recipe books to put the famous meat and veggie stew on their menu.

Global Scouse Day has grown from a small gathering, into an annual event that captures the city’s imagination and encompasses music, art and cinema from across the city, while raising money for local charities and providing free food to the city’s homeless. Last year, it was even celebrated as far a field as America and Australia.

Here are just a few of the places in the city where you’ll be able to get hold of great Scouse this year:

11 12 2018 Palm House Liverpool
