Another chance to go to the sold-out quiz – plus classic Christmas movies and more

GAVIN & Stacey fans will have the chance to put their knowledge of the iconic sitcom to the ultimate test this Christmas as Liverpool’s Camp and Furnace hosts its very own quiz.

The Baltic Triangle-based venue has announced an extra show on Wednesday 18 December after tickets to the first event on 28 November sold out in less than hour.

The special Christmas-themed event, which can be played in teams or individually, will put players through their paces, quizzing them on all things Billericay and Barry, as the nation gears up for the series’ much-anticipated, one-off return to screens on Christmas Day.

Prizes will include Smithy’s famous chippy order and a Welsh Dragon temporary tattoo. The winning team will take home a Gavin & Stacey Barry Island Tour for two..

The quiz, for which tickets are now on sale, is part of Camp and Furnace’s packed festive schedule, which officially kicks off on 4 December with a pop-up cinema showing The Greatest Showman.

The screening is the first in a series of movies to be shown during December, with yuletide classics such as ElfNightmare Before ChristmasThe Grinch and It’s A Wonderful Life, all in the mix.

Adding to the offering this Christmas will also be Martin Kemp’s Now That’s What I Call Christmas on 7 December.

The much-loved former Spandau Ballet singer will take party-goers back to the '80s with a special guest DJ set, complete with ‘naughty and nice hot chocolate’, Christmas cocktails and mulled wine and cider.
