Due to open next month, the venue will offer amazing views of the waterfront

A new pan-Asian restaurant with a rooftop cocktail bar will open on the third floor of the Bentley Building on the Strand in May.

Customers at Liberté (French for freedom innit) will be able to sip 'innovative' cocktails while enjoying views of the Three Graces, the iconic Albert Dock and panoramas across the city.

Owner Liam Hincks, a local DJ and co-founder of Amp radio, wants to capture the vibe of New York’s trendy rooftop bars. Liberté will feature an urban fit out, playing live music and laid back tracks every evening until 2am.

Liam said: “It has been our aim for several years, since acquiring this building, to put the roof terrace to use. Now we have the right concept, we feel this is the right time. We wanted to create a space that really comes into its own and provides truly unique surroundings for those looking for something a bit different from a day or night out.”

The retractable rooftop bar will feature an extensive cocktail list along with a wide range of spirits, wines and beers. Dishes on the food menu will have a pan-Asian influence.

Liberté will be an addition to the current hospitality offering in The Bentley Building including Meet Argentinian steakhouse, Tom Halls Tavern and The Bentley Live Cabaret Club.
