Get familiar with this lot, they'll be with us until the end of May

Trinity Kitchen’s current batch of street food traders have been enjoying the luxury of a roof over their heads for almost two weeks now and due to the unprecedented new two-month residency, they’ve still got another six weeks to go. Now they’ve had chance to get settled, we’ve sampled them all in order to give you the low-down:

Pizza Loco

These guys didn’t earn a place in our list of the five best pizzas in Leeds for no reason: Hand-stretched, Neapolitan style dough, made fresh before your very eyes, and blasted in a wood-burning oven until it’s covered in crispy charred bubbles, but still got a satisfying chew to it.

Their Margherita is a thing of simplistic beauty, but the Hot Honey (with Spianata salami, thyme, chilli, and honey, £8) and Cheeky Bacon (with maple-glazed Guanciale, black pudding, and artichoke £8) are what sets them apart from other pizzerias. Round it up to a tenner and you’ll get a beer chucked in as well.

StrEAT Balls

These Wetherby locals are brand new to the street food game, but you’d never be able to tell from their food. Gourmet meatballs made using top quality locally-reared pork, with eight combinations of sauces and toppings - we had the Spanish, in a Neapolitan sauce with parmesan cheese and crispy Yorkshire chorizo, but other options vary from barbecue, cheddar and maple-smoked bacon to fiery hot sauce, chilli cheese and minted yoghurt.

7” subs are £6.50, or switch to topped fries for £7.50 - price includes all the napkins you'll need, you mucky pup (hint: it’s a lot)

What The Truck

Basically a road-trip around the best diner sandwiches and dive bar food from across America - There’s a rib-eye Philly cheese steak, a fried-fish po’boy with slaw, garlic aioli and sriracha, and a vegetarian Chilli Dog, as well as vegan nachos, deep fried mac & cheese balls, and an absolute umami bomb of french fries drenched in white truffle, parmesan, black pepper, and aioli.

Eat Like A Greek

Choose from chicken and lamb souvlaki, lamb kofta, and balsamic-glazed halloumi served in a warm pitta with fresh salad, tzatziki, and oregano.

Traditional taverna food will have you eating like the Greeks, and shelling out £8 for a kofta wrap will give you an authentic taste of their recent financial crisis, too.

The Baking Biker

This husband and wife team have traded bike-offs for bake-offs, and started making cakes, tray bakes, and loaves cooked fresh daily.

Pothole bakes are their take on rocky, containing halal-friendly marshmallows, chocolate, digestive biscuit, and different toppings each day such as Reese’s Pieces or chunks of Caramac. They’re treating the stall as a bit of a test kitchen where they come up with seasonal treats like their Easter special the Scotch Creme Egg - a whole creme egg wrapped in truffle, with a dark chocolate crumb coating.
